Description

Koundouros is one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches of Kea, a popular tourist resort and the only beach on the island that has been awarded the Blue Flag, with the many windmills that exist on the hills around the beach characteristic of the area.

The beach is relatively long in length and well protected from the elements due to its orientation.

On the coast as well as at the bottom of the sea you will find wonderful fine and crystal clear sand while the crystal clear waters gradually deepen making it a favorite destination for families with children.

It is the most well-organized beach of Kea and has umbrellas and sunbeds for rent, a beach bar to enjoy coffee and cool drinks on the beach and a restaurant to have lunch.

For those who wish, there is also the possibility to use your own equipment since there is space available and you can look for shade in the tamarisk trees that are on the shore, mainly on its left side.

Access to the beach is easy and is done by road via the regional road from Ioulida, while on weekends during the summer months you can also visit it by the island's bus.
