Description
At the location of Nichori, in the land region of the former community of Kolakas, near the ancient acropolis, excavations have revealed cemeteries from the Archaic period. In the same location, fortifications are preserved over a large area, and one of the towers remains at a significant height, which is why the locals refer to the area as "Pyrgos" (Tower).
According to the prevailing view, the ancient city that existed here was Kyrtoni.
