Description
Myrtos is a prime destination in Kefalonia, situated 29 km north of Argostoli. This stunning beach has been acclaimed internationally and often featured in travel magazines as one of the world's most gorgeous beaches, having won awards for its cleanliness and natural beauty. It has a semi-circular shape, encircled by white, rocky cliffs with lush vegetation on top, and is composed of lush green areas, abrupt terrain, white pebbles and crystal waters.
Most of the beach is well-equipped with umbrellas and sundecks, and a small part remains untouched, perfect for total seclusion. Myrtos' picturesque beauty is the symbol of Kefalonia and one of the most photographed places in Greece. The winds are strong here, and the western coast of Myrtos is renowned for its spectacular sunsets.
Visitors can access a variety of facilities, as well as a snack bar with cold drinks. Myrtos is easily reached by all transportation. As you descend to the beach, you can take in some breathtaking sights from above.
